WOW Logistics® recently hired Todd Payne as Director of Operations, Project Planning and Implementation (PPI).

Prior to WOW Logistics, Payne was the Director of Operations at Pharmapacks. He supervised automated technology integrations, ensured effective warehouse management system build out and standard operating procedure creation, developed key performance indicators, and drove efforts to evaluate operating metrics and streamline processes.

As Director of Operations, PPI, Payne will provide operational direction to engineering during design, assist with operational and organizational readiness, coach new site leadership and team members, and implement an effective continuous improvement plan.

“I’m looking forward to immersing myself in the projects the team already has in motion,” said Payne. “Once I am up to speed, I can leverage my skillset to implement best practices and direct smooth, lean-focused startups and transformations.”

Payne’s short-term goal is to achieve a seamless startup of WOW’s facility in Illinois by ensuring all control points are covered and finishing the labor management plan.

“Once we finish dialing in things like process standardization, change management, and continuous improvement, we can achieve operational excellence and high-quality service, “ said Payne.

Long-term, Payne aims to target a new customer segment with the department’s services offerings.

“Todd brings more than two decades of experience to the PPI team,” said Arvind Goyal, Vice President of PPI. “His ability to quickly understand project gaps and navigate short lead times will be a huge asset.”
