WOW Logistics® Announces 2019 Dairy Science Scholarship Winner

Neenah, Wis. – April 18, 2019:WOW Logistics Company® named Brandon Biese as the winner of its $1,000 dairy science scholarship. Biese is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was announced as the recipient of the award April 17 at the Cheese Industry Conference in Madison, Wis.

Biese is pursuing a B.S. in Dairy Science with an Agricultural Business Certificate. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he plans to begin a career developing and distributing innovative care products for calves and heifers including grain starters, milk replacers, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.

Currently, Biese is the Cattle Care Chair for the Badger Invitational Sale, and a member of the Badger Dairy Club, 4-H, and the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association. In addition to his extracurricular involvement, Biese maintains a 4.0 grade point average in his dairy-related courses

“Brandon grew up on a 300-cow dairy farm. When most kids were still asleep, he was up before school tending to the farm,” said Howard Kamerer, President, and CEO of WOW Logistics. “He has taken the solid work ethic instilled in him while growing up and focused it on building a successful career. WOW Logistics’ $1,000 dairy science scholarship was established in 2010 and is awarded annually to a qualifying student seeking a degree in the dairy or food sciences fields from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
