Medical Insurance
WOW Logistics’ medical insurance offers two plans – traditional or high deductible, offering low employee premiums and out-of-pocket costs. Coverage includes 100% coverage of preventative services and the opportunity to participate in a health savings account (HSA) or flexible savings account (FSA).
HSA/FSA
These benefits offer employees the opportunity to set aside pre-tax dollars for qualifying medical, dental, and vision expenses like deductibles, prescriptions, orthodontia, eyewear, and Lasik surgery. Employees enrolled in the HSA can also take advantage of a generous employer match of up to $500 for the employee only plan and $1,000 for the family plan. While funds in an HSA roll over each year, funds in a flexible savings account must be used by the end of the calendar year. Both account types have maximum contribution limits based on IRS guidelines.
Dependent Flex Savings
This benefit allows employees the opportunity to set aside pre-tax dollars for qualifying day care expenses for children or other eligible dependents, up to a maximum of $5,000 per household.
Dental Insurance
Our dental insurance includes 100% coverage of preventative services (routine exams, cleanings, and x-rays), as well as implant and white filling coverage. The orthodontic lifetime maximum per dependent child is $1,000. The individual annual deductible is $50, up to $150 for a family, with an annual benefit maximum per covered individual of $1,000.
Vision Insurance
Our vision insurance covers an annual vision exam, a $150 lens or contact allowance every 12 months, and a $150 frame allowance every 24 months.
Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
WOW offers a basic life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance plan to all its employees at no cost. These benefits pay out one times an employee’s annual salary, capped at $50,000.
Voluntary Life Insurance
WOW offers additional low-cost voluntary life insurance in addition to the basic plan. The options include:
- Self—increments of $10,000, guarantee amount is $150,000, and the maximum is $500,000
- Spouse—increments of $5,000, guarantee amount is $30,000, and the maximum is $100,000
- Child(ren)—one choice of $10,000
Disability Insurance
Disability insurance covers a percentage of an employee’s earnings in the event they are unable to work due to injury or illness that occurred outside of work. Short- and long-term disability premiums are paid by WOW. Short term disability benefits begin the eighth day of an injury or illness, up to a duration of 25 weeks.
401k
Employees are automatically enrolled in WOW Logistics’ 401k plan on the first day of the month after two full months of employment. This automatic enrollment offers traditional and ROTH options with an employer match.
Paid Vacation
Employees are eligible for paid vacation immediately after hire. Vacation days are increased based on an employee’s number of years of service.
Paid Holidays
WOW Logistics offers eight paid holidays during the calendar year. These include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Tuition Reimbursement
WOW Logistics assists full-time employees with 12 months of service with the cost of tuition, books, and other class requirements for approved training and education programs up to the federal maximum of $5,250.
Employee Programs
WOW Logistics offers engagement, recognition, and development programs for employees. WOW Logistics provides a quarterly recognition program that allows employees to recognize their peers who embody the attributes of our Four Pillars—attitude, work ethic, process, and skill.
We further celebrate and recognize service milestones and host monthly engagement events across the company.
Distribution center employees have two development opportunities to take advantage of. Our Mentor Program aims at strengthening teams, providing more advancement opportunities, and cross-developing individuals. The Leadership Development Program teaches essential skills and business practices, preparing selected employees to successfully take on leadership roles within the company.
