On Monday, September 30, WOW Logistics welcomed a new leader within its IT department with the addition of Bill Myers. As the Director of Software Development, Myers will oversee the development and support of WOW’s warehouse management system and lead the delivery of high-quality software projects.

Myers joins WOW Logistics with software development, business intelligence, and business analysis experience in numerous industries. Previously, Myers was employed with Hoonuit leading teams that developed analytics software for educational purposes. Prior to Hoonuit, Myers worked for Alta Resources building intelligence solutions for large companies like Disney, Johnson & Johnson, and Energizer.

“I’m thrilled to be part of a great team and organization,” commented Myers. “I’m looking forward to learning a new industry while applying past experiences. I love finding new ways to solve problems, improve processes, and generate new ideas.”

Myers has concrete goals that he’d like to accomplish in his department, both short- and long-term.

“In the short term, I intend to learn as much as possible about the 3PL industry and help out my department in any way I can,” explained Myers. “Longer term, I will explore efficiency gains that technology can provide and research data science solutions. The team here is so great that my primary goal is to keep that success growing now and into the future.”

Scott VandenElzen, Vice President of Software Development, is looking forward to what the IT department will accomplish with Myers’ leadership.

“As WOW has moved into new opportunities, our project complexities have grown. We needed more help bringing additional warehouses online while maintaining the level of quality WOW Logistics expects,” commented VandenElzen. “Because of Bill’s significant experience managing development teams and his leadership methodology, it was an easy choice to add him to the team.”
