WOW Logistics® Announces 2017 Paper Science Scholarship Winner

Appleton, Wis. – May 25, 2017: WOW Logistics Company® Company named Jonathon Waterman as the 2017 winner of its Paper Science Scholarship. Waterman is a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He was announced as the recipient of the award May 25 at the Wisconsin Paper Council Annual Meeting in Neenah, Wis.

Waterman is majoring in Paper Science and Engineering, and Chemical Engineering with a minor in Spanish, Chemistry, and Biofuels. He hopes to continue his education after earning his Bachelor’s degree and pursue a post-graduate degree in Forest Biomaterials.

“Johnathon has an incredible passion for the paper science field, which he demonstrates through work experience, and extracurricular involvement. It was refreshing to see a student that had put so much thought into their career path, and exactly what it was going to take to get them to where they wanted to be.” said Howard Kamerer, President and CEO of WOW Logistics®.

Waterman is currently working as a Paper Science Research Assistant at UW-Stevens Point, and is a Summer Intern at Neenah Paper. He is also the President of the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) student chapter, and the Treasurer of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) student chapter.

Founded in 2010, the $1,000 WOW Logistics® Paper Science and Engineering Scholarship is awarded annually to a qualifying student seeking their degree in the field of Paper Science from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
