WOW Logistics® selected Megan Schulenberg as the winner of its $2,500 Dairy Science Scholarship. Schulenberg is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
Schulenberg is working toward a bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she plans to become a sales nutritionist or nutrition consultant.
Currently, Schulenberg is Treasurer of the UW-Platteville Collegiate Farm Bureau and works at Todd Thieding Farms. She is also Merchandise Chair of the Pioneer Dairy Club and a member of Ag Ambassadors and Sigma Alpha, a professional agricultural sorority.
In the future, Schulenberg aims to establish a career as an independent nutrition consultant, traveling to farms to provide expert guidance and support that helps dairy farmers optimize their operations and improve herd health.
“Megan’s passion for dairy started with her grandparents’ farm,” said Ashly Radka, Marketing Director at WOW Logistics. “Her journey from a suburban background with no agricultural exposure to pursuing a career in dairy science speaks to her passion and determination.”
WOW Logistics’ dairy science scholarship was established in 2010 and is awarded annually to a qualifying student seeking a degree in dairy science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Wisconsin-Platteville, or the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
