WOW Logistics® Announces Dairy Science Scholarship Winner

Appleton, Wis. – May 6, 2013: WOW Logistics® recently named Susan L. Hodgson as the winner of its dairy science scholarship. Hodgson is a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was presented the honor April 17 at the Wisconsin Cheese Industry Conference in La Crosse, Wis.

A native of Plymouth, Wis., Hodgson is a double major in dairy science and food science. She also is a member of the Badger Dairy Club, Association of Women in Agriculture, and Saddle and Sirloin Club. In 2012, Hodgson was the Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association’s Outstanding Sophomore award winner.

“Susie’s passion for the dairy industry is evident in her studies, involvement, and work experience,” said Howard Kamerer, WOW’s president and CEO. “WOW places a high value on this type of positive attitude and we’re proud to present her with this scholarship.”

Founded in 2010, the $1,000 WOW Logistics®’ scholarship is awarded annually to a qualifying student seeking their degree in the field of dairy or food sciences from a University of Wisconsin System school.
