WOW Logistics® recently hired Dave Johnson as Director of Operations.
Prior to WOW Logistics, Johnson served in various executive-level positions including Vice President of Operations with GEODIS and, most recently, Vice President of Distribution Operations with NDC. In that role, he managed all aspects of inbound and outbound operations for parcel, less-than-truckload, and full truckload transportation modes. Additionally, he served in the Army as Captain, solving logistical and operational problems for six years.
As Director of Operations, Johnson will implement best practices, develop leaders, and focus on continuous improvement initiatives across four distribution centers including Tukwila, Jerome, Savage, and Grand Chute.
“I came out of retirement because I was so impressed with WOW’s culture and people. I know firsthand it’s a privilege to join such an awesome team,” said Johnson. “I love the simplicity our Four Pillars provide in how we work together and evaluate our people. I hope to help reinforce and improve our commitment to serve our customers.”
Short-term, he aims to familiarize himself with the company’s varied customer needs and business models as well as WOW’s internal processes.
“Dave will leverage his experience to shape a strategy that drives operational excellence, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service,” said Clay Prickette, Vice President of Operations.
Moving forward, Johnson wants to assist with the development of the next generation of WOW’s leadership to scale the company in new geographical and vertical markets.
“Dave brings three decades of senior leadership experience with him,” said Prickette. “His extensive supply chain expertise and strong customer focus make him an excellent fit for this role.”
