WOW Logistics® recently announced the selection of St. Joseph Food Program as its WOW–We Care charity partner.
WOW Logistics® created the We Care charity fund earlier this year as a way for employees and the company to give back to the community. Employees enrolled in the fund have a minimum of $1 each week deducted from their checks. To date, almost 70 percent of WOW employees are contributing to the We Care fund. The average bi-weekly donation among employees is almost $3.50, with the highest donation being $20.
“The generosity WOW Logistics® employees showed in making this donation possible has been nothing short of amazing,” said Randy F. Radtke, vice president of marketing at WOW, and a member of the WOW-We Care charity board. “Our goal for the WOW-We Care charity fund was to foster a culture of giving back to the community, and our employees have supported this cause in a big way.”
The WOW-We Care charity fund is managed by a seven-person board, which reviews donation requests, as well as drives other charitable activities throughout the company.
In addition to assisting Fox Valley families through St. Joseph Food Program, WOW will look for ways its distribution centers around the state of Wisconsin, and in Jerome, Idaho can donate to their own local food programs.
