Neenah, Wis. – Dec. 18, 2018: WOW Logistics® recently welcomed Steve Heise, Recruiter, to the Human Resources department. Due to the company’s continued rapid growth, the need arose for an employee dedicated entirely to hiring efforts. Heise will oversee the hiring needs of WOW’s corporate office and distribution centers, as well as manage the onboarding process for all new employees.
Heise’s first priorities will be developing a new onboarding process and improving communications with hiring managers to better understand their needs. One of Heise’s main focuses will be building relationships within the communities in which WOW does business to attract top talent and grow WOW’s candidate pool. He will also target top colleges located in the United States that specialize in supply chain operations.
“I hope to grow WOW’s presence in the area as a standout choice employer by finding new ways to engage our community and maintain candidate pipelines as hiring needs arise,” commented Heise. “I’m looking forward to filling open positions across multiple departments by being a champion of WOW and our Four Pillars.”
Heise holds an Associates of Arts degree in Business Management and Development and brings nearly four years of full-cycle recruiting experience to WOW, including assessing the needs of hiring managers, utilizing online job boards, and screening candidates. He also comes to WOW with already established community relationships, which helped him stand out from the candidate pool.
“I was looking for someone who was outgoing, had established community relations, and had a passion for hiring employees at a fast-growing company,” explained Tim Lisowe, VP of Human Resources. “As a dedicated recruiter, Steve will be able to vet potential candidates with hiring managers and spend sufficient time with new employees to ensure a successful transition.”
